The HarnWare Cable Lay Design option determines the optimum lay of wires in each harness leg and produces
cable cross-section drawings. Alternative lays of cables containing mixed diameter wires are automatically analysed to identify the
smallest diameter and most even construction.
In the above example, the listbox contains the quantity of each wire diameter for which
HarnWare has automatically developed 19 alternative design
solutions. The minimum diameter alternative, which is shown, is 14.58 mm diameter. These diameters are calculated
much more accurately by HarnWare than is possible with the simple formulae which are commonly used to estimate mixed diameter wire bundles.
