A design is not complete if it cannot be communicated accurately and clearly, and shared with others. HarnWare's output consists of high quality drawings and documents that truly illustrate the design and can be used for process and production planning and manufacture.
- Harness Assembly Drawing. A highly detailed, pictorially correct drawing with all items clearly identified by part number balloons.
- Wiring Schematic. A clear, pictorial representation of the harness wiring that illustrates the circuit requirements and identifies each component by the use of internationally recognized symbols.
- Wiring Schedule. An alternative to the wiring schematic, the schedule gives the circuit requirements in tabular form. It is most appropriate for harnesses containing a high wire density that would cause confusion in schematic form.
- Cable Sections. Automatically designed sections through the harness leg drawn to illustrate the position of wires in the lay to give roundness at the optimum diameter.
- Wire List. A listing of all the wires in the harness with their description, connector and item references.
- Parts List. A tabulated Bill of Materials for the harness with part numbers, supplier, specification, totalized quantities and units of measure clearly identified.
- Labour Estimate. A spreadsheet that automatically generates a labour time estimate for the finished harness using standard times for every component in the harness.
- Harness
Weight Estimates. Both the weight and exposed surface
area of a harness can be estimated.
- Assembly Instructions. A page listing Codes of Practice for assembling each component in the harness.
- Design Check. An advice checklist to help the designer identify potential problems, spot omissions and make improvements based on a set of well-established harness design rules.
- Marker sleeve
Page. A separate page containing harness marker information and legend detail that can be used for off-line marker printing.
- File Export. The parts list can be exported in ASCII format, the marker information can be exported to Tyco Electronics' WinTOTAL marker software and the drawings can be exported in a variety of graphical formats including DXF and IGES.
- Language and Part Number Translators. Drawings can be translated into languages such as French, German, Polish, Japanese, Hebrew, and Korean, and Tyco part numbers can be converted into customer equivalents.
- HarnVis 3D Harness Visualisation. To
scale 3D Models of wiring harness designs and harness lay-up board
designs can be generated by HarnVis 3D.
